Very much like Reverse Osmosis. Nanofiltration works at lower pressure and has a marginally lower salt rejection rate. Normally used in applications like water softening, colour removal, and removing TOCs. Nanofiltration is a membrane filtration process mostly used to soften surface or fresh groundwater.

WHERE CAN NANOFILTRATION BE USED?

Typically Nanofiltration is used in the food and beverage industries, especially dairy and juice. Pharmaceutical environments as well as fragrance industries are known to use Nanofiltration processes.
